Someone once said to me: "Love is three parts love and seven parts forgiveness." Why is this a good ratio to consider in our relationships with others?
We all long for a deep and intimate relationship with God, just as God longs for a continuing relationship with us, that is real and personal. But what is this relationship all about?
Why would God discipline us? Is He not the God of love? Why would a God that loves us need to discipline us?
Ever feel that you are "not good enough" for God, or society. You are not the only one. What does the bible say about us?
"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the children of God!" says John, but do we know who our Daddy is? It is easy to acknowledge that we are His children, but we don't always think about WHO it is that is our Father.
The Law of love gives freedom: but how do we give freedom to our loved ones, when they could get hurt, make mistakes, or choose a path of life that would destroy them? How do we give them freedom, yet have peace?
How do you know if you are progressing in your Spiritual walk? How does one ensure that it IS a growing relationship and not just a ritual or religion one follows? How to look for evidence of spiritual growth in your life?
How should I respond to God's love for me? If I don't obey Him, does that mean that He will no longer love me? These are questions we battle with, how do we respond to this love of God?
We do not always understand all that happens in our lives, the valleys and the high places. We wonder about the purpose and the plan, and where the end of our journey is. What comfort is there in trusting God's love, for life?
Do you feel indifferent about God? He neither excites you, nor bores you, you feel neutral about Him. Does it really matter to you, if people know that you are a believer in Jesus? Does you belief make any difference? Why does feeling indifferent not represent an option for believers?
