“Why don’t you pray about it?” I asked her. “It is such a small matter,” she replied, “there are much more important things happening in the world that have God’s attention. I am sure that God wouldn’t want me to bother Him with this.”
Paul tells us to “put on Christ,” so what “spiritual clothing” do I need to put on in my life? What thinking, attitudes and behavior will represent who I am right now in this season of my life: my status as being “In Christ,” my values according to the Word and the God-focused priority to my life.
With the warmer weather moving in and spring announcing her arrival, I do a clean out of my closet. So too, my spiritual closet: All that does not fit me and all that is more appropriate for the season I am in and the person I am at the moment.
